Ok, I found this website this morning after my sister emailed me a website with a bunch of different diaper bags to look at. These were by far the cutest and as a borderline OCD organizational freak, they seem so fantastic for keeping things in order! The IRL pictures are great!! Needless to say, many hours later, I'm still on this website!!
Anyway, a question for you ju-ju-be lovers... Have any of you had a Petunia PickleBottom diaper bag? I had the red one for my last baby, but I found that it was really, really big, (big black hole comes to mind) and that it didn't hold its shape very well. (i.e. is the Be All smaller than the PPB's?) Has anyone had this experience or can help me compare the two? Thanks so much!!!

Hello! And welcome to the Pink Room!
I had a Petunia Picklebottom Boxy Backpack in the pink Ginger Roll color. It was pretty, but not near as functional as my TWO Be All's! Plus the silky fabric got lots of pulls in it..
On to your real question though. I would say YES it will work space-wise the same. You may even be able to get MORE in the Be All because it is so organized. I usually have it stocked up with:
4 Diapers (2 for each kid)
Huggies travel wipe container
Diaper ointment
small bottle of Purell hand sanitizer
small bags for poopy diapers
Sippy cup and snack trap for my toddler
Bottle for my infant
2 board books in the back sleeve where the changing pad is.
In the mess shuttle I carry: Tylenol, Oragel, Mylicon gas drops
Tide-to-go-pen
Change of clothes for BOTH! (small..babysparewear)
In the Mommy pocket: Be Mine wristlet (as my wallet), sunglasses, cell phone, keys, gum, lip gloss, nail file, compact
I can usually squeeze in a bit more, but that's what's in there right now. I agree the Petunia's have that large "black hole" feel, and Ju-ju's are just SO much more organized.
I haven't taken pictures of it yet, but I need to! As soon as I do I will share them with you if you'd like! Right now I have the Perky Perennials all packed up, but I have the Sienna Swirls too if you want a picture of that.
Hope that helps at least a little!

I have never had a PPB. I could not justify paying that much for something that didnt have the borderline OCD orginaization.
I have a Be All. I also have twins. I can fit a TON of stuff in it. It is not huge at all IMO. I am a bigger girl though (5'9" and not a size 2, LOL) I can wear it messenger style, but I choose not to.
In my Be All right now and it is not fully packed is....
6 Huggies diapers, wipes, butt cream, a little roll of trash bags, a wet bag (we use cloth diapes mostley), 2 board books, 2 pairs of Baby Banz sunglasses, a snack cup with cheerios, 2 toy phones, 2 teethers, a tide to go pen, wet naps, 2 bibs, a burp rag, tylenol (for mommy and babies), gas drops, hair brush, nail clippers...there may be more but that is all I can remember off the top of my head. AND I have room for food.
The thing about JJBs is they dont need to be HUGE to fit a lot in, its the OCD pockets.
That and they are just too darn cute! I bet a Semi could run over one and it wouldnt get trashed. I am not going to test this theory though.

Hi! I have a PPB BB right now (had to quench the "thirst" for a PPB after 4 years, lol) and will tell you up front that the JJB bags are MUCH more organized, and MUCH more functional. I think each brand has its own aesthetic feel (I use my PPB BB for dressier times), though if it was down to one bag, the JJB would win hands-down. Not only are they fun, they are machine washable (on delicate and NO dryer) which feels fantastic when you think of the goo that can build up in bags, especially fabric ones.
There is superior organization (I have owned many bags: Lexie Barnes, PPB, 3 different types of Fleurvilles, Mia Bossi, 3 types of Timi & Leslie, Chester, 2 Red Hens, Kecci, Oi Oi, Vera Bradley, and the list goes on ) and the JJB is the finest for organization, washability (is that a word?), and most important, for customer service. Joe and Kristin not only stand 100% behind their product, they include their customers in the process of creating fab bags, making themselves personally available in this forum to boot!
I do not think you will be disappointed by the JJB line. I personally loved my Be All, Packabe, and Be Small (I have owned 4 so far total), and now that we are downsizing finally, am impatiently awaiting the new prints to get another Be Small.
Good luck, and if you need some more IRL pics, let me know (FWIW, I am 5'7" medium build)!

Hi New Girl!!!! So glad that you found us - it's so hard to choose isn't it. I have to say that I am also obsessed with being organised and having lots of pocket and places to put things and these really are the only bags that fulfill my OCD need.
The PPB bags do look the part, but I have never been tempted because you can't just 'sling them in the washing machine' whenever they get dirty. Did you know that these bags hold up really well to being gently laundered!! In fact, a quick rinse every now and then, and they come out looking like brand new. I have washed a few of my bags a couple of times with great results!!! I think it's such an important feature when these bags are used for carrying bottles/sippie cups etc...
If you need any more help at all - just yell and we'll be happy to talk you into buying LOTS of JJB's!

Tina - we both posted about the same thing!!!! Thanks for your opinion too - it's interesting to hear from a PPB owner about the differences between the two bags and how you use them for different occassions.
And its also great to hear that JJB wins hands down - yippee!

Hehehe! Not in my eyes, but then it's always just an opinion until you've actually experienced both - I'm just really happy to hear that my thoughts on the matter have been confirmed. Crumbs, if I wasn't able to wash my bags, i'd be so SAD They would not stand up to the household of Wood children

Also girls - if anyone wants help getting their pictures up on here, I am very willing to do this, since I helped Sarah with hers, and i've realized that I am a 'whizz' on the computer after all!
Our golden Girl, Heather who usually helps people with this is sick at the moment, so I will stand in for her for a while.

Ha...Sarah, your comment about the semi is funny....don't put anything past Joe though. Someone mentioned one time about their bag getting snags in it and he had his youngest son dragging a bag around on the ground. And then Joe took glass to the bag also. All in the name of research....so, he may just take this opportunity to "road test" another bag....
Breaker 1-9, breaker 1-9, we've got a Ju-ju-be in the middle of the road and a smokey heading right at us....we're going to have to run that baby over and see how she holds up!!!
(Sorry, lame 1970's musical reference!!!)

Well, I guess Joe can do it because I dont want to ruin my bags. Hey, does anyone know if they are flammable?

Sarah,
I'm definitely NOT testing mine to see if they are flammable!
I love my Ju-Ju's TOOOOOO much!

I had no idea that the bags were washable -- that's definitely a plus! I never dared wash my PPB because I wasn't sure about the fabric; it seemed too delicate.
So, now I'm just trying to decide between the Be All and the Packabe. I really like the idea of the backpack -- do you guys wear these as a backpack often? I'm small (5 feet) and don't want a bag that seems to overpower me.
Anyway, it's fun to be on board -- it's amazing that this community has formed around...diaper bags!! Obviously, they're so much more than that!
Thanks again. Look forward to chatting with you all.

Hi Aggiemarisa,
I agree that it's fantastic how this little forum has 'taken off'! You're so right too, it's not just about the bags, although they are fantastic, its also about the wonderful women and designers who posts almost every day. Everyone is just so supportive and friendly and its a lot of fun in here. So we really hope that you'll join us often and that these bags brighten your dullest days - they certainly do for me!
The packabe is such a cute backpack, it fits in a multitude of things, but it really doesn't overpower you or look too big. The straps make it easy to switch between messenger, shoulder or backpack mode and its one of their great features. My kids easily carry these bags for me sometimes, and even my 8yr old looks ok, so you should be fine with one.
The BeAll is great too, it all depends what you want. I think the pocket organization in this bag is wonderful, a place for everything and it's really not too big either. For myself, it was all too difficult to choose, and I ended up buying one in each style!! Crazy I know, but these bags are addictive and I easily convinced myself that I really 'needed' one of each. Actually though - I do use them all for different occassions.
Sounds like you're leaning towards the packabe, which would be a great choice and a good place to start, heheheh
actually i just ordered a packabe. i am just under 5' tall and i was surprised that the bag did not look nearly as big in person as it did on line! i havent receivd it yet, but i "tried it on" at a local store. it really ws not overwhelming
