Hi everyone. I'm new here and have just posted for advice on which changing bag to buy. I need help with what to get to go with it too!

This is a treat for myself

1) The BeMajor in brown/teal earth leather. I love the look of this. I love the fact that I can use it as a seperate bag or as a wallet inside my changing bag. I love all the pockets and organisation. I was all set on getting this until I read a couple of very bad reviews earlier on. They said the phone pocket wasn't good because it couldn't fit a phone in there properly. I have an iPhone so am worried it won't be safe or won't fit. They also said you can't fit the keys inside on the keyfob. I only have a couple of keys though. The reviews also said the pockets were too tight and small and useless (especially the one behind the mirror). The reviews really put me off although they also complained about the photo slots which I love the idea of!


2) The BeRich, not sure what colour yet as depends on the bag really. This has such fantastic reviews everywhere I read. It can't be used as a bag though and doesn't have lots of other comparments.


I would appreciate any help in making this decision as it's driving me mad! Thanks in advance.

I LOVE my Rich, and I got rid of my Major as soon as I could! The major might say it can be used as a bag, but what for? It's not very side. I use my set in a pinch. The lipstick loop and mirrors were just silly and impractical to me, and just made the wallet more expensive. I have a ton of different cards for this or that, and the Rich is perfect, and I have a spot to tuck my money, checkbook and receipts/coupons.

I like both! No help, huh?
Depending on how you want to carry your stuff, each wallet has it's purpose. I had stamps stored in the pocket behind the mirror, and my "yes to carrots" chapstick fit in the loops great! I keep more in my major...and carry a biz be for any extras when I'm using my rich.

I had a fabric Rich and didn't like it because I thought the print (dizzy daisies) was too busy on the inside. I'm considering getting an EL one, so I'm no help with that. I also had a SW Major that I ended up trading because I thought it was too big for the little I put in it. I did carry it crossbody though, and liked that aspect of it. Not much help I guess. You may have to buy one, try it and then sell it or trade it if it doesn't work for you. That's the beauty of the FSOT board.

The Major just had too many features that I decided I wouldn't use and preferred more card slots. When I want to just carry the wallet, I throw it in a large set piece with a long strap. I have a Br/ZZ EL Rich and a DD Rich. I much prefer the EL Rich and thinking I may return the print.

I MUST know...what is "yes to carrots" chapstick???

And OP, I'm a Rich girl all the way. I use a small set strap clipped to the zipper pull to make it a wristlet and it's perfect. The Major was just too big with things I didn't need/use and not enough card slots.

AND--and iPhone will fit in the zipper part of the Rich without a case on it. It's tight, but will work in a pinch. I don't do this cuz I need my case and even a slim case makes it too big to fit.

I have the following:
* DD Rich
* EL Major
* EL Rich (from the PLC borrowing club - goes to the next PL today!)

Here's my observations:
- DD Rich is the best of the 3. I can fit a checkbook in the right side pocket (not the gusseted one), a pen and my change / bills in the zipper pocket and a ton of cards in the many slots. Easy to snap too. Don't really like the print being on the inside of the wallet though - kinda distracting. Wish it came in a solid lining.

- EL Major didn't work for me at all. Not enough card slots for even the essentials that I always need to carry and the picture insert always gets caught when trying to zipper it up. If I put my checkbook inside it eats up all the space for receipts.

- EL Rich is smaller than the fabric one, at least the one I tried. I could not get my checkbook and cards in AND snap it closed. Perhaps as it's used it might stretch a little? Not sure so I'm staying with my fabric rich.

I think it comes down to whether you want to be able to carry it as a separate bag or not. The Rich, even if you add a small wristlet strap, is really a standalone wallet - that's it. Sure, you could squish your iphone into the back pocket, but try putting change in there too and it won't zip closed. It definitely could not also hold your keys. The major will hold the iphone (fits perfectly even with a case as long as the case isn't huge) - and with a small set of keys you should have no problem using the fob. Yes, the tiny pocket behind the mirror is a bit useless to most of us but otherwise the Major is a great combination of purse and wallet.

I tend to carry a purse a lot more than a diaper bag because I work m-f, so the major was just too much for me.

WSS! If you want to use it as a mini-bag get the Major, but if it's just a wallet go for the Rich. I ADORE my Vanilla Rich.
