Has anyone ever made a custom small set piece?
I feel like I see lots of pictures of custom coin purses and medium and large sets, but I can't remember ever seeing a picture of a custom small set piece? Has anyone ever made one? If not, does anyone know why?

I think the custom smalls look like coin purses as far as the zipper and such goes. Because I have bought a custom "small set" that was shaped and had the zipper of a coin purse. I dont have it anymore.

I think that is one of my favorite things about the small set, is that the zipper goes around the side.

Alyssa made me a smallish one in Sporty and made the zipper go around the side like the real ones. ETA: I had a local friend also make one out of BB, but she made it more like a coin purse because it was easier. And here are pics of my Sporty one. It's actually a tad bigger than a real small set.

I'm pretty sure there was a Leopard Bubblegum one! I think that was a small set piece (not a coin purse). At one point Iman (2princes2princesses) owned it.

No, the zipper didnt go around the side on the custom one I had. The sporty one in this thread is the first time I have seen a "custom" one with the zipper going around the side.

Then I thought, maybe this is ridiculously hard to make if I have never seen one before. Hope it turns out as nice for me as yours looks

I've only done one - it was seriously hard!!! Mostly because to do it just right you need a special machine. See how the topstitching on the zipper of Alyssa's goes all the way to the bottom and doesn't bend around the bottom of the zipper?? That's on purpose. It's next to impossible to do what JJB does with a regular sewing machine. And doing a custom small set also takes way more time than they are worth. Unless you are making it for yourself in which case - time doesn't matter!!

Unless you are making it for yourself in which case - time doesn't matter!! Gotcha! I hadn't really sat down and drawn out what I wanted to do. I seriously sit there for a while drawing things out and thinking through them so I can really figure out how I want to do things. Since I am too cheap to pay over retail for things (and they never made a MV set) I figure I am going to try it out. I figured it will take me a while, but since it is for me and I can make it what I want, it's totally worth it I hope it turns out and I share some pictures, otherwise maybe I will still post pictures of my failure so everyone can laugh at me
