It does seem to be particularly hard to sell at the moment. When I joined the PR, FSOT seemed more buoyant and I thought trading would be no problem. Now I wish I hadn't grown my stash quite so fast and I am extremely cautious about what I add to it.
I recently sent quite a very well loved PB to a PL for the price of shipping, plus a little for the unused CP, and I'm thinking of quite literally giving my SW hip away to a relative who is expecting her first child. So, I hear you!

Ah! Right there with you, mama! DD is potty trained and I have a whole bunch of JJBs that I'm not using and I need to sell them, but a lot of them are HTF and I'm afraid to sell them and take a huge loss on them. So they stay in my closet It just makes me think extra hard about making any more purchases, because FSOT isn't really my safety net anymore for bags that don't work out.... although now that I think about it, I'm probably just contributing to the slow PR economy by not buying.... it's a vicious cycle

It is a vicious cycle, slow FSOT = less of us making purchases for fear of not being able to FSOT them...

I'm not sure what you were selling, but I've had good luck lately if I price things low to move. If you really want them gone, I'd drop the prices. I'm sure that's probably not what you want to hear though.

FSOT is much slower now and it seems like it has been that way for a long time, I think when there is a large influx of new PLs then it tends to pick up since they are looking to try out different bags, but right now things are reallllyyy sllooww.

I remember around Christmas people were speculating that things were slow because of the holidays, and as soon as all the bills were paid they'd pick up. I think that speculation was maybe not correct this year.

I've never been able to move anything fast, but then I've also never let things go for a steal of a deal. You either need to be willing to take a loss (think of it as a fee for using/trying the bag) or bide your time for the right buyer to come along.

Mostly I think there's probably a need for some new blood. I know I've collected almost everything I've ever wanted at this point. I've got a couple ISOs and there's some new stuff I'd like, but for the most part I'm stash happy. I mean if a great deal comes along I'll probably take the leap (Costco Hips totally sucked me in for example) but unless it's a steal or one of the two things I desperately want I'm not a buyer. Of course I'm also not selling anything, so at least I'm not competing with y'all for buyers either

The only way I've been able to sell lately is super low prices. Like $20 for a mb kind of low. I blame amazon. Used to be jjb could not go on sale, so the only deals were fsot. Now amazon prices are so low, you can buy new for fsot prices.

I think all resale is a little slow right now and also by nature a little hit or miss. I haven't met or requirements for selling yet but on the FB page it seems like accessories go very quickly (esp brown ones lately) and bigger bags take a while. Also, I think a lot of people recently bought alls and hips from costco. And those were really good deals.

For other stuff, I've had items posted on kid crawl for weeks with nothing and then all of the sudden there will be interest in something I thought I'd never sell.

Hang in there, momma. When the time is right, the right person will buy the right bag from you at the right price. It's just frustrating waiting.

When I first came in it was hopping. Does seem pretty slow now. I have a SW packabe I'd like to trade but I think I might be stuck with it

I personally believe that FSOT will be slow from now on ... JJB comes out with so many new prints these days that everyone is always looking for the newer stuff, even the older HTF stuff isn't really desirable like before. I remember when reveals consisted of one print and no new bags. Like the DZ reveal! And then you'd wait months before the next reveal. Now we're getting 3-4 new prints each reveal. There is no incentive to buy older items when you can buy new ones (and as Amity pointed out, even cheaper on Amazon, etc.)

I literally sat on some bags for 4 months on FSOT before having serious nibbles . I agree with everyone's points about Amazon, waiting for the right buyer and wanting things for a steal. Just keep bumping up your FSOT thread and hope for the right PL to come along. I also check the ISO's periodically to make sure I don't miss anyone interested. My last resort is eBay for one bag but I'm trying to be patient. Any chance you could also list it on your CL?
