I made these for Father's day, but this idea would also be great for Christmas.
This summer I was garage saleing and found 4 brand new photo trays from Bed, Bath, and beyond. I bought them for 5 dollars each and took them with me on our long road trip vacation. They were the type that had a mat in them to show 4 pictures. I ditched the mat, and added a pretty wrapping paper as a background. These had a piece of glass on the tray and handles, so I figured they could use them to eat off of.
After spending a week with each set of Grandparents, I emailed the closest walgreens and printed pictures of the things the boys did with their grandparents during the week. At the end of the trip we presented them with the photo tray. Both families liked the present. Here are some pictures...
