Post What NOT to say to your wife after 28 hours of labor
I had an extremely difficult labor with my first baby. It was 28 hours of hell. The morning after he was born my husband walked into the hospital room and actually complained that hi legs were sore from standing for so long. Seriously? He obviously got the point and when he saw my face he commented "Did I say that out loud?"

oh this makes me LOL... my DH went and got a tuna sandwich while i was in very painful labor because the cafeteria was going to close since we'd been there so long (22 hrs at the time). TUNA! and then he wanted to help me do my breathing. ICK!
Men are so clueless sometimes. I wish they could experience labor just so they'd know to keep their mouths shut

 so funny! sounds like something my dh would say.

I had 2 csections (one after 18 hours of labor), but after one I remember feeling so gross and just wanting to take a shower and dh was like "oh I feel dirty too, let me take one first"

yeah, my DH made a similarly lame comment about how tired *he* was. I labored for 64 hours and didn't sleep for 2 nights and got about an hour of sleep on the epidural before DD was born. And yet HE got 2 full nights of sleep and even went golfing the day before she was born while I was home laboring.....
I won't even tell you the TMI dumb*** remark he slipped out of his mouth on our drive home from the hospital!

Okay, these are just ridiculous! Seriously! When my SIL had my niece, she invited me to come to her birth. Anyway, I was 6 months pregnant and had been having horrible back pain from my pregnancy and I stood for several hours straight holding her oxygen and barf bag and I never once told her how tired I was even though I was!

Oh no, it looks like I am opening some old wounds.
He had something ridiculous to say with each of the kids. He'll never live them down. With my second, he watched a football game the entire time I was in labor at the hospital because he thought it was going to take 28 hours again. When I started pushing he finally turned the tv off. Remind me why I had 5 kids?

For the record, he is an EXCELLENT father - just a TERRIBLE labor coach.

HA LOL that actually reminds me of something else.. my MIL kept calling DH (from the L&D waiting area) to ask if I was still in labor. UH YES! If I haven't called you to tell you we had a baby I'm IN LABOR so STOP CALLING! oh to this day we'll get in arguments about it.

My brother and SIL (kidless) called when they heard I was in labor and wanted to chat. They would not get off the phone. Hmmm I am a little busy right now.

Oh, with my last baby, my dear husband asked if I was going to be much longer. Apparently he planned on a quick delivery (my previous labor was only 2 hours). When I had complications and a 21 hour labor he was concerned that he needed to get to work since he only requested one day off. OMG I am angry typing this. Again, great dad, BAD coach!

these are so funny!

Here's my lame-comment from DH while in labor : Somehow DH didn't pay close attention during our prenatal class and he was under the impression that an epidural is only given once you are pushing the baby out. So i'm trying to labor as long as possible at home, and I finally just want to tear my hair ou I,m in so much pain and I tell DH that it's time to go. He farts around taking out the garbage (TAKING OUT THE GARBAGE??!!!) and cleaning up the house. I finally tell him : WE'VE GOT TO GO NOW!!! I can't take the pain!!!
And he leans in real close.. and whispers.. : sweetheart, it's no use going to the hospital now, they won't give you any pain meds anyways..

WHAAAAAAAAAT?!! If a judge had been present, I may have divorced him on the spot!   Great dad - but BAAAAD labor coach!
