Thank you very much for your thorough and thoughtfull introduction. The Canadian negativity that has existed in a few threads lately has saddened me very much. I cannot even imagine the challenges of your job and thank you for this generous gift of joining us in the Pink Room to answer our questions.

Just noticed this and wanted to thank you for all of your efforts in posting and in increasing JJB awareness in Canada! I think you were great to go into so much detail about your business when you don't technically need to share any of that info with any of us. Thanks for working to accommodate us, Loretta!

I'm not in Canada either, but I've heard some of the difficulties that some of the CAD mamas have dealt with in trying to get their hands on precious JJBs. So I think it's a wonderful thing that you've joined the PR and that they'll have some more direct contact with you if they have questions. I think a lot of the frustration has stemmed from the lack of information or communication, so thanks so much for coming to the PR and offering to respond to questions directly here. That will make a huge difference, I'm sure. Welcome.

Welcome! I've noticed it's hard to find JJB in Canada and I'm in Vancouver where I would think there should be a fair amount. The price has also deterred me so much I don't think I've ever bought locally. Hopefully the massive price different between retail sales in the US and Canada will be rectified at some point and more people will want to stock and buy in Canada.

I've found the US prices to be the same as the the Canadian ones, which is quite unusual. For example, check out www.alongcamebaby.ca and you'll see the prices are pretty much the same as Shop Ju Ju be.

Totally agree with Nicole. My EL Black Major was $85 CAD, and it retails for $85 USD. All of the new stuff from the last couple of orders was almost the exact same price. As for older stuff, I got a Fuel Cell for $24 CAD (shopJJB has it for $22 USD) and a BeSet for $40 (shopJJB price is $40). I think the prices are pretty awesome, considering that the distributor probably has to pay import duties and such.

Writinggirl, we have been doing group orders for west coasters through a store in Vancouver called Room for 2. Next time there is a reveal/pre-order, keep an eye out for the group order thread if you're interested! There are other stores around town that can also order in what you want. I think it's prohibitively expensive for stores to carry too much in the way of JJB stock, but if your'e looking for a store somewhere or a specific item, some of us may be able to help!
