Post New Be Small or Old Style - Help me decide!
Hi I have decided to order a Be Small but am now not sure which I should get. The original style is 49 and the new versions are 79. How great are the new features? Should I splurge on the new or go with the old? This is going to be my 2nd bag, for use when it's raining and can't/won't take my new Coach diaper bag out- hubby gave it to me for my bday a few weeks ago, or just when I need a smaller bag.

Thanks for any info!
Melissa

I just recently sold my original style and upgraded to the new style. The only difference is the strap and key chain. I think they are great updates. But it's really up to you if you want to save those extra $30. I read that you had the coach bag and I wanted to ask if you like it? My husband said I could have a coach bag for Christmas, and I'm debating between a hobo for me or a baby bag. The hobo I like is $250 and the baby baby is like $350-$450. That's a lot to spend, but I'm definately going to get it I just don't know which. I would be so grateful for any info on the baby bag that you could give. Thanks.

I have the Optic Signature baby bag in khaki. I do like it although I thought I might return it at first. Here's the link: http://www.coach.com/content/product.as ... ory_id=695

My husband gave me a black fabric coach bag which I think was a diaper bag but I can't be sure, for Christmas last year, but I returned it because I didn't need one and it was sooooo much money and got a leather purse that I needed for everyday instead.

Well now about a month ago my dog ate my diaper bag which was a Oioi Messenger bag that I loved and had considered buying again until I found out about these Ju-Ju-Be bags and fell in love with them online.

My husband had already bought the Coach bag for my birthday 2 weeks ago when I found out about JuJube. I was considering returning the Coach and getting a Be All, but I started using the Coach and found that it has a lot of interior pockets, a few on the outside. There were 2 factors making me want to return it before I started using it. It is a tote and has 2 short strap handles that don't fit well on my P3 stroller, I can hang the bag over 1 handle, but not both or the bag becomes wide open. #2 I didn't think there was any way to close the top, but found out that it does have a zip top that doesn't close completely across the top, the sides are slightly open, but will definitely close enough to keep everything in there if it fell over. So once I realized this zipped I decided to keep it because I really started loving the look of it and color. I initially thought I wanted black or blue when I saw them on line but within a week I fell in love with the khaki. However, I am afraid to take it out in the rain and I don't know where you live, but I live in NJ and it just rained for almost 2 weeks straight since my birthday! I've been using the black nylon bag the hospital or Dr's office gave me when it rains, which is why I am now deciding to by the Be Small. I am leaning toward buying the original to save the money, since I'm going to use it less often than my Coach bag, but wonder if I'd really like the padded strap/adjustable. I didn't have that on my Oioi bag so I probably won't miss it and I never paid attention to the key hook on my Oioi which it had on an inside pocket, but I just used an outside pocket for my key and phone.

The Coach bag comes with a changing pad, which I haven't used yet because the one that came with my Oioi bag is bigger, but it is nicely padded. There are 2 side pockets and pockets on the front and back. The front or maybe back it's hard to tell has a split pocket, so there are 2 separate areas and the other side has a longer pocket that fastens with a snap or magnet? The inside has a bunch of elasticed pockets around the interior as well as a long non-elastic pocket, maybe for the pad and 2 zipped pockets one on each side. So it does organize things pretty nicely. I'm still trying to figure out a better way to hang the bag on my stroller and am thinking of trying some type of clips/hooks I've read other moms use on another message board. The hamptons scarf print baby bag does come with a long strap according to the web site, and I liked the colors and pattern but was afraid that with some areas of white it would get filthy. Additionally, I felt bad for wanting to exchange/return the bag since this is the 2nd my husband bought me this year.

One more thing, does the Be Small new version have wider gussets or pockets reconfigured from the old version?

The coach bag I want is the Coach Hamptons Weekend Baby Bag in Black. Of course I'll never use this bag at the zoo or places like that. I'll also be using it as a purse, so I don't mind carrying it on my shoulder. I hope the straps are long enough. I love that it has lots of pockets because that's one thing I've learned I love.

I have all four ju-ju-be's. It really depends on what you want it for. I use my packabe when I really need to pack it up for an all day trip or even overnight. It has lots of room and is very organized. Especially with all the accessories. And when the backpack straps would be conveniant.
I use my be all for medium packing. Like when I have to carry extra clothes, sweater, blanket, food and snacks.
I use my be small for quick trips and times when I'm close to home. It can fit diapers, wipes, 1 sippy cup, 1 jar of food, a snack trap, and pacifier/spoons. My stuff also fits in the mommy pocket (wallet, keys, and phone).
And I use my be smart for me. It is a perfect laptop bag.

I just got my new be small today. I got the updated version and I love it. The padded/adjustable strap is awesome. And the scrunchy key chain is a huge help.

I'm sure you'll love whichever bag you choose. Ju-Ju-Be bags are awesome. And SO cute. I love all mine and wouldn't give them up for anything. And they have lots of pockets. I know you said that you liked that.

If you aren't going to use it very often then it might not bother you that the original doesn't have a padded strap. The bag should never be too heavy since it is the small one unless of course you are carrying bricks! Which I doubt!

Have fun deciding!

One more question to add to this. Does the old style have the D rings at the bottom of the straps like the new style does? I love those D rings! I clip my keys to them all the time! I don't care about the D-ring on the padded part of the strap, just at the base on either side.

TIA!

The ORIGINAL Be Small does not have D-rings.
