Purchased something here on PR from someone with good feedback on 4/15/11 and after paying, no response stating it had shipped or DC# or anything. Left on vacation for 10 days and upon returning, no package from them and sent them a PM 2 days ago and so far no response. I'm going to try to email the address on file with paypal. How long would you lovely PL's wait until filing a paypal dispute? Really hate to do that, but don't want to lose my money!

*UPDATED* Item received on 5/7/11. Heard back from seller on 5/8 who got my messages and wasn't happy. Also, edited my feedback to be more succinct and fair to the seller on 5/8.

Do you know how to tell if she has read the message or not? If it is still in your inbox it hasn't been read yet. I have no advice on how long to wait but if she has read the message and had plenty of time to respond...

I would file a dispute within 3 more days if she doesnt answer via PM, you can state in the dispute that once you receive the item, you will close it and not escalate it to a claim. If she doesnt get back to you through paypal within 5 days of opening the dispute, I would escalate it to a claim.

Is she reading your PMs?

Have they been here? Also is the pm in your "outbox" still or has it been read?
In light of the new FSOT rules if the pm has been opened and read then I'd probably just go ahead and file.

Where was the item shipping from? If she's reading PMs and not responding, that's not nice. But maybe she's out of town?? Shipping from Canada/other locations can take quite awhile, but if there's no communication, that's no good for anyone. Sorry it's not a great transaction, mama.

Oh no!! That's no good....I would definitely file a dispute if the pms are read and she's still not responding. I understand not making it to the PO sometimes but, I try to always let the buyer know I'm workin on it! ....btw totally ot and not trying to be stalker-ish lol...have we bought or sold together? bc eagle river sounds super familiar so, either we have or someone here in the PR lives very close to you! Lol

Yes, I agree. Go ahead and file. I only had to file a claim once (against an Ebay seller) and it was against someone with lots of feedback. As it turns out they did it to several people all at once so I suspect something serious happened in real life or something similar. I did get my money back. Good luck!

She has not read the PM from 2 days ago yet. That's why I thought I would send an email from Paypal email address.
Also, maybe this was a bad sign, but when I had originally inquired about her FSOT lisiting, she didn't respond for 7 days.
She last posted on PR 4/16 and it was a "bump" for FSOT. Her PR profile does not list a location but she joined Nov 2010 and has 409 posts.
Maybe something happened in life, but communication would be nice.

I would go ahead. There is a time limit within which you can file.

Yup I would file...if there is a problem IRL that's really sad but, in order to get your $ back I would file just to have your bases covered

It's better to be safe than sorry, so you are right to go ahead with the dispute. You can always retract it.

DEFINITELY leave honest feedback when it's all over. If you have trouble getting a hold of someone, email through their PP.

Unfortunately, at this point, mods wouldn't be able to do anything other than what you are doing. But I agree, it couldn't hurt to PM one, ya know?
