Post Small/Tween
I've never seen a small IRL but size-wise is it basically a tween with no middle divider? I WANT to love my tween, keep trying, but the darn middle divider makes it hard to pack. :( It's DD and the first JJB my DH bought me, 2nd JJB ever too, so it stays....but just doesn't get used which seems a waste

The tween does hold a bit more then the small. I never liked the internal cup holder of the small. It takes up too much room in the main compartment.

This is how I like to pack the tween.

CP pocket: a couple of small board books
Back Zippered compartment: 4 size 5 diapers and a bag dispenser in the main section, ointment and disposible cp in one pocket, small wipes case in the other pocket.

Main compartment: onsie in the zippered pocket (folded as flat as possible), coloring kit in one mess pocket, beneat and snacks in the other mess pocket. small bag of toys in the main compartment, still room for the blanky, facial wipes in the elastic

Mommy pocket: thin wallet and kleenex in one mess pocket, two ouch pouces in the other mess pocket, girly stuff in the zippered mess pocket, cell in the middle pocket, and sunglasses.

To be honest, I didn't like the tween at first and returned one before even trying. I think I had to really try packing and repacking to get it just right. Now, I love it. I have owned 2 smalls. I sold both w/o regrets. HTH

It's like the Tween if it didn't have the back zippered compartment at all - just the main compartment, with back slip pocket where the cp goes - and no side bottle pockets - and a smaller mommy pocket.

This makes me want to break out the GG tween and start using her again! You really are a JJB Genius when it comes to sorting and packing!!!

And I had a Small too and as much as I loved it since it was Lush and gorgeous I really only saw myself using it as a portable DVD player/DVD case carrier - perfect size for that! But now I have that in my tween and still have lots of room for other car/traveling things that I would need :)

Thanx.
Is there a packing thread or pics of the Tween? I so want to love her but DS' snacks take up a ton of room (he has big cups he uses) She's been at the bottom of my JJB pile for months and months

Check out the IRL gallery Between Index. There are tons of them. If you send me a packing list, I can do a test pack for you....maybe a packing video.

I've owned 3 smalls, and never really used any of them. I found that it was just too small for my needs, and I really missed the bottle pocket on the side. DD is 2.5 and the tween works perfect for us right now, it got used quite a bit when she was smaller for quick trips as well.

Here's how I pack currently (mind you it's pretty minimal)

Original CP in back cp pocket.
The next compartment contains a 2-3 dipes, and a hard wipes container.
Main compartment contains a change of clothes, my major, a small snack cup, disposable bags, and DD's lovey
Mommy pocket carries my phone, ipod, hand sanitizer, a few bandaids, and occasionally an ouch packet if we're going to the park.

Wow, you rock!

I'll go look up the threads but if you did feel up for helping me pack I'd love it!!

Currently I carry:
large set (4 size 4 dipes, light cp, antibacterial bottle)
hard wipes case
medium set (baby toys)
medium set (onesie, baby legs, bib)
nursing cover
2 containers of snack refills (the large plastic ones baby pureed fruit comes in)
snack cup (bigger than a Snack Trap)
cookie safe container
Tommy Tippee sippy with handles
baby's blankie
thrifty
1 envirosax
small set (tampons, bobbypins and bandaids)
tissues, mini sticker book and lollipop (sometimes in a small set or just in a pocket)

It's the snacks that take up space! And yes; I need to have them all with me....DS loves his cheerios and HATES the car and stroller.

I only use the tween for short trips and just taking things for my youngest ones..
I love the idea of it but it is small. If I only had one to take stuff for I think it would be great. I do like how cute and small it is

I don't have a Tween any more but I have to say that the Tween really doesn't require sets to organize it as it is a very organized bag to begin with. In my experience, the Sets just take up space in the Tween. Try to use the mesh pockets as much as possible.

I do think what you've posted would be a bit of a tight fit in the Tween but for starters I'd try this:

- consider standing the 4 diapers up in the back pocket, with hard wipes case standing up next to it and light cp folded behind. Not sure how big the antibacterial bottle is.

-put baby toys, extra clothing, and nursing cover in the back zippered compartment. Room for blankie on top? If not, perhaps the blankie can be tucked behind the elastic strap in the main compartment.

- if the snack cup (is it a munchkin one?) and cookie safe container and snack refills fit in the main compartment then they should go there.

- stuff that goes in the small set should go in the mesh pockets.

- sippy in the sippy pocket, envirosax in the other sippy pocket

- thrifty in the mommy pocket

So you have a sippy in one bottle pocket...what's in the other? Could you put the snack refills in an empty Puffs container? That fits in the bottle pocket like dream, would free up a bunch of space inside, and he'd have plenty of Cheerios in reserve! :) Looking forward to Heather's packing magic!!

And I don't see much mommy gear on the list. Do you carry a purse? Where are your wallet/phone/keys, etc?

Yup, it's a munchkin cup....seems such a hard size to shove in
Currently I'm using hips; one side pocket is the cookie safe the other is sunscreen (but will be taking that out soon anyway) I put his sippy just straight into the main part of the bag as it doesn't leak at all.
The thrifty is my wallet...and it's amazing how little I need now that I carry for kids. haha What on earth did I pack for myself years ago in my purses??

Oh and turns out there was another small set piece with my point and shoot in it. Tried to pack it up; just can't get it all in

I use the small in the winter time, and the tween in the summer... this lets me use the cup holders in the hot months.
In the winter I just love love my small. I carry my major, ouch pouch, tissues, crayons, just small things.
