My husband just surprised me by ordering a WannaBe for our trip to Florida. I never really considered buying one before since I already have a pretty functional beach bag, but the fact that it has the cooler pocket and the backpack straps won my husband over, and he thought it would be helpful for our trip since we're planning a ton of outdoor activities, not just the beach.

It should be here by Saturday, so until then, please tell me more about it- likes, dislikes? Tips for organizing it etc?

I LOVED my wannabe and will be getting another one soon since I had to send my GG one back to Amazon because of a tearing problem and bleeding lining!

LOVE my WB! It is perfect for the beach! It is pretty humongous, so I really only use it for the beach, but it holds 2 towels, DD's sand toys, bathing suits/extras, and some snacks perfectly. The backpack straps are awesome. We go to a lot of beaches that require us to walk up/down steps or down cliffs (blame DH ) and it is so great to have the option of using the backpack straps. I also love the interior fuzzy pockets for my phone, keys, camera, etc.

I LOVE mine!! I have not taken mine to the beach, but I have taken it camping several times or if my kids are staying overnight at Grandma's it is a great bag!We are taking a road trip in a couple of weeks and it will get a lot of use! I don't use it everyday, but it sure is nice to have when I need it!

Ditto with everyone else...I love that there are so many options with it....you can put your blanket on the outside straps and have a ton of room inside...and there is a TON of room inside. I have 2 kids and dh that I pack for (the 3 older pack their own stuff, now) and I am able to put wetsuits, toys, snacks, towels, change of clothes, sunblock, lotions, sun hats, and anything else I can think of...in it...I also carry a mb with me for my books and such...

Oh i love mine for pool/beach/ travel! i took mine camping and it carried everything for my girls. And maybe a month before camping i took it to a water park. I think you will love your new WB

He ordered Perky for me. It's not my favorite print, but I like it better than the other 2 prints. Where did you find the citrus? I would have preferred that one, even though my PB is in citrus.

It's not being discontinued is it? I was wondering why it came in such few prints.

A couple questions I thought of:
1) Is it a pain not having a zippered top to keep things in?
2) When filling up the cooler pocket, does it take up tons of space inside the bag? Also, is the cooler pocket waterproof? I'm just wondering if I put ice packs in there and things defrost, will the water start seeping into the main compartment?
3) Are the backpack straps comfortable enough to wear for long periods? We're going to the Florida Keys and there will be some days where we'll be doing a lot of walking/exploring and we might not have the stroller to throw the bag on.

Still patiently waiting for my bag- it was a rescheduled delivery, so it looks like it'll be here tomorrow. DH is like, "Be patient, we're not going on vacation for a while." Like that matters

1. It is sometimes a pain to not have a zipper, but I think it can hold so much more (and larger items) because it doesn't zip.

2. The cooler pocket does take up some of the space when filled, but it's not like the whole bag is full or anything. And yes, it is waterproof, so no worries about liquids leaking!

3. The backpack straps are quite comfortable, but I don't think I'd want to wear it for extended periods. Because it doesn't zip and it's so big, it's often a bit awkward to wear especially if full.

Your DH is awesome for ordering that! I have been eyeing it but I'm so small I doubt I'd be able to carry it- it's that super cooler pocket that intrigues me too.

Citrus is discontinued, but I found one on FSOT last week. I got mine on Saturday and I love it. I can't wait to try it out. Did yours make it yet?

The WB is a great bag. I don't use it that often, but when I do, it works great. Mine gets the most use at the pool. The lack of a zipper doesn't seem to matter that much. The strap that closes the bag works great! I haven't used the cooler compartment. I typically take another cooler because I have no problem filling up the main part of the bag. I use the shoulder straps the most. It is a bit strange to carry the bag in backpack mode for a long period of time. But the backpack straps are very comfortable and a nice option.

Got my WannaBe tonight!! The Perky is actually so pretty IRL, I was pleasantly surprised!
I wish it was still beach weather so I could try it out! We have a birthday party on Saturday, I wonder if I could get away with packing it up for that
