Best way to get the dirt out?
I just got a beautiful purple all today. But she has some dirt. Shes on the washer now but how do I get stubborn dirt out?

Re: Best way to get the out?
I mix a paste of baking soda and blue dawn and brush it in with a gentle toothbrush. Then I let it sit for a while, put it back in the washer, and repeat until it's clean!

Re: Best way to get the out?
Most marks/dirt comes out with the baking soda/Dawn dishwashing liquid method. But for really bad stains, try Motsenbocker's Lift Off. It is amazing stuff. Just to show how ridiculously well this stuff works, one brave (crazy?) PL wrote on a BeQuick with Sharpie and then got it almost all the way out with this cleaner (available at Home Depot, Amazon and I'm sure elsewhere too.) Check out this thread: viewtopic.php?f=275&t=129067&p=1432645&hilit=motsenbockerETA: It looks like the photobucket links are broken now; but trust me, it was an amazing progression of pictures!

Honestly, I've tried the baking soda paste and it only did a so-so job. Plus it was messy and abrasive, so speeds up wear on the bag. Fels Naptha did just as good a job on the dirt without damaging the bag or being a mess, so that's what I try first now.

Start with Fels Naptha, then a trip through the washer on delicate with a minimal amount of detergent. I would say dry it in the sun but LL is prone to fading. If that doesn't work come back and we'll tell you what to try next
