Post LDD Issue with Faulty Item :(
Just wondering if any other PLs have had any issues with refunds or returns with Little Dudes & Divas???

I purchased a steel Behave about 3 months ago now, and it obviously went missing in the post, as it took almost 8 weeks to get to me from when I paid, and when it turned up, the box was wet and ripped and the bag inside was wet and mouldy from whatever it had on it :(

LDD have been good in replying to my messages, via ebay, but I really havent gotten anywhere close to an acceptable outcome :(

I am out 220AU, dont have a bag I can use, and dont seem to be getting anywhere with a refund... I would have been happy with a replacement or a refund, but Im not happy im out of pocket so much money, and 3 months later, still no closer to a resolution :(

Any suggestions???

What was LDD's take on this? Did you send them pictures and did they accept a return or refund, what outcome are you expecting, and when was the last correspondence date? Unfortunately, eBay will only protect you within 90 days from purchase date and I think it is the same with Paypal.

I had a faulty item (item was faulty, it wasn't damaged in shipping) twice and both times they took care of me completely. One time I spoke with maya on the phone and the other we exchanged emails.
Have you tried phoning?

I received a partial refund for an item and it took a while for the refund to go through. She told me it would, so I was expecting that. Apparently they run refunds in batches (or did at the time) and only did it every few weeks or so. I did find that sort of odd, but it did go through when promised.

She is in Australia, phoning would be terribly inconvenient because of time zone difference. Unfortunately that is the BEST way to get hold of Maya especially during winter holiday season when her office is busy.

Thanks for the replies ladies :D

I actually did have PP side with me, but I would have had to return the bag, and unfortunately, it is MUCH more exy to ship from Australia to US than it is from US to Aus... It was going to cost me 100AU to ship it back :(

Id be happy with a replacement or a refund, but 3 months is just a really long time to have it drag out with no end in sight :(

I'm sorry, I don't really know what to suggest since it would be so expensive for you to ship it back. Normally if an item is damaged, you return it. I've returned things I didn't like to them and not had a problem. It did take a while to get a refund, because as another poster said, they only process refunds twice a month. (???) I thought that was weird, but I did get my money back. Can you forward them any correspondance from PayPal? I don't know if that would help. I would keep emailing them until you get a response since you can't really call them directly.

I would also email them directly, not just through eBay. They've always been good at responding to emails in my experience.

It sounds like a shipping issue - have you checked to see if there was any insurance on the item? Maybe you can receive compensation from the post office or shipping company for the damage?

That's what I was going to suggest. Ask about partial refund from the post, or u should have declined the wet package, I think I would be upset in ur situation, but it is such an inconvenience on both sides...
Do u think dry cleaners would be able to fix the bag for less than the cost of returning it?

I'm sorry mama, what a bummer to receive a mouldy bag after such a long wait! :(
I'd say the post office might be to blame in this instance. They should have treated your package with care and it doesn't sound like they did. If you had insurance on your parcel I think that they are the ones to speak to.

I had an EL MB that was faulty from LD&D. It was when EL was first released, was brown/ZZ they were really good and emails were answered in a quick time frame. They ended up sending me a new one. Was great customer service, for me. I too am in australia :D

I had a faulty Major, they offered me a full refund and it was all settled within 2 working days. Who are you dealing with? maya? as normally she's on top of it quick smart. Have you been in contact with them at least weekly over this?

Mostly dealing with Irina...

I sent off heaps of photos of the bag, as they requested I do, and they were getting in touch with the shipping co because quite obviously it was their fault the item was damaged... But nothing seems to be getting any further, I just keep getting emails saying that they are still trying to sort it out with USPS, and thanks for my patience :(

But im kind of losing my patience, it has been 4 months now since I paid for it, and I still have no outcome :(
