 Think I might be CRAZY!
Okay so i posted a bit ago about what diaper bag to get. well based on the advice I ordered a BFF. I got it, returned it and kinda want it back! I decided it was too small for us and that I wanted to use the mighty be as our main diaper bag but it just isn't working! After lugging it around today and having things fall out of the top and the straps falling off my shoulders...I decided I need a "real" diaper bag. Although I LOVE the MB. Just not as a diaper bag. I think the issue with the BFF was that my carrier wouldn't fit or lunch if we bring it, which we usually do. So I though well everything fits in the MB, but man it is heavy all packed up like that. I'm thinking maybe the BFF would work well if I kept the carrier in a quick in the car if I need it and our lunch in a light and then I can leave that bag in the stroller when we go somewhere. I thought I could leave the MB in the car if we went somewhere but with my little one so little still we at least need a diaper and bottle so I need a bag I can carry and the BFF looks so perfect when others have packed it. Maybe I didn't give it enough of a chance.... So now what? reorder a SW BFF (are they back ordered?) or order a PT BFF cause I love that print too! hmmm? or should I get a BP so I can carry everything! Thanks for listening, you ladies rock! my hubby thinks I'm wacko!

if you love SW then I'd get that, if you love PT then I'd get that in a BFF, but I probably wouldn't get the BP just b/c it might be too big on days you don't carry your lunch or the carrier. Keeping the carrier in the car is a great idea, I do that with mine! You could get a Fuel cell for your lunch!

Re: Think I might be CRAZY!
thanks for the advice. I think I do need a fuel cell, can you pack lunch for 2 people in it pretty well?

Re: Think I might be CRAZY!
I have a BFF as my main "everyday" diaper bag. It is great to hold what I need for trips to the store or appointments. If we are going to be out for a while, or I need to bring more then what I can fit in my BFF, I pack another bag (my PB right now, but I will be getting my MB on Friday and will use that instead) with "extras" and keep it in the car. (extra diapers, snacks, clothes, etc). And then between stops I restock the BFF with things from the other bag or anything special I need at that stop. It's better then carrying around 1 big heavy bag all day. We were out shopping all day this past Saturday with our 2 yr old and 4 mo old, and this worked great. The BP s an awesome bag, but I think ir is to heavy for everyday use, IMO. I say order a BFF, and get the print you really want. If you like PT, get that. If you would rather have SW, then I'm pretty sure there are sites that still have it in stock, or you coul score one on FSOT.

Re: Think I might be CRAZY!
that totally makes sense. I don't know why I thought I needed a bag to carry everything at once! I surely can't carry my baby 9months and 27lbs and a huge bag, like the MB when it is stuffed. I learned that today. I love the idea of refilling a bag at the car between stops if need be also. Thanks! I also have 2 boys, 3yrs and 9 months. I appreciate your advice. I think I will try to get a SW BFF again, maybe maya can just send mine back to me.

Re: Think I might be CRAZY!
I think you've gotten great advice but I just wonder that if your MB is heavy with what you pack then the BFF will be way heavy as the bag itself weighs much more. I wonder too if I didn't give the BFF enough of a chance. But still so far, I like the Packabe more b/c it can hold more (stuffable) since I have a Behave for everyday stuff. I CD though so that's really why it was just too small for all day. I can put 5 CDs in the bottom and still put a fuel cell on top. Then I can have set pieces/quicks beside that all in one bag. I love that once the FC is empty it can then smoosh down really small. I only wish it had more comfy backpack straps but it's snapped onto the stroller most of the time anyway.

Re: Think I might be CRAZY!
I tried a packabe once but didn't like the horizontal packing, I felt like what I needed was always on the bottom. Plus the backpack carry was uncomfortable for me. I think I need to leave some of my stuff in the car. But the packabe is so nice and stuffable, we cloth diaper too and I am already thinking of number 3 so we may have 2 in cloth diapers...is the SW packabe nice? It looks lovely.hmmm maybe I need to retry it too.

Re: Think I might be CRAZY!
First of all, you are not crazy! At least not here in the pink room. I think you should reorder a SW BFF. To answer your fuel cell question, yes you can pack enough for 2 people in there.

Re: Think I might be CRAZY!
Maybe you should try the bff again. I would say if the bff seemed to heavy then if you put everything in the bp it would be way too heavy. I do think that the bff feels lighter than the mb especially if you wear it as a backpack. And wow your 9 month old weighs as much as my 2 1/2 year old.

It was also more the cost for me. I can't afford to have another bag so pricey that would serve the same function as something I already have since I can stick two CDs in the Behave. If the BFF were my one and only bag I'd make it work though. It's a nice bag!

Re: Think I might be CRAZY!
I feel pretty crazy. I feel like my IRL friends think so and def my husband. oh well. I'm gonna reach diaper bag perfection eventually. I plan on getting a behave for my birthday in October so maybe I should go with a packabe. I used it before I used quicks and sets so maybe that was the issue. It would be nice for jackets or blankets in there.... Decisions, decisions. Thanks for helping me talk through this, it was keeping me up at night. lol

Re: Think I might be CRAZY!
Keep in mind that in a pinch you could always hook your Quick (w/ carrier) onto the BFF and carry it that way. Ditto a FC for your lunch! Hope you can find one in the print you want.
