The 2017 PLGTG

The 2017 annual Ju-Ju-Be Pink Lady Get-Together took place on Saturday, July 15th at Estancia Park in Costa Mesa, CA. This was the largest get-together to date and took place the day after the Ju-Ju-Be warehouse sale. The PLGTG is an opportunity for Ju-Ju-Be super fans to socialize, play games, trade, sell, and even walk away with some Ju-Ju-Be items.

Taylor, the social media coordinator, and blogger Sara, from Pretty in Pink Mama, broadcasted live all day to include those members of the community that couldn’t make the trip out. They hosted giveaways and even gave sneak peeks of what was coming later on in the day.

There were multiple booths located around the park to provide entertainment and feedback. The Be Young tent supplied kids with coloring books, toys, and even Learning Towers and Easels donated from Little Partners. There was also a tent for games, photos, feedback, and customs!

Lunch and snacks were provided by multiple venues. Sandy’s Food Services provided multiple types of street tacos including chicken, carnitas, and carne asada. The Kona Ice truck stopped by as well to provide shaved ice in a variety of flavors!

The day was a hot one, and Essentia Water was kind enough to provide water bottles for all the attending families.

Ju-Ju-Be is proud to have such passionate fans that can make customs a business. Four custom makers were able to attend and sell their goods to other super fans in the community at the event!

They had creations ranging from pill boxes, to seatbelt straps, to even bags of their own designs in familiar prints!

Long time pink lady Shannon was in charge of hosting all of the games this year. There was a social scavenger hunt, bag races, and even a “guess that bag” blindfold game. Some of the winners were able to walk away with some cool prizes!!

We know what all the Pink Ladies show up for though, a chance to win a one of a kind bag or as we call it in the Pink Lady Community, an OOAK.

There were over 20 bags raffled off to families in attendance. They ranged in print and style from bags that had never been placed into production to familiar prints with slight variations.

As a rule, when you receive an OOAK, the new owner now gets to name the new print. We love seeing the creativity on this part!

After the raffles, it was finally time for the reveal. Ju-Ju-Be announced the newest collaboration with Sanrio on a new Hello Kitty and friends print called Hello Friends. The print boasts a charcoal background with colorful pops of Hello Kitty and her favorite friends. This print will be available in stores and online on August 15, 2017.

During this time, Ju-Ju-Be also gave out awards to long time, and supportive Pink Ladies that stand out to the community. Heather Range, Suzette Lavine, and Dawn Marshall all were rewarded with a personalized Ju-Ju-Be book.

Then the newest product from Ju-Ju-Be was introduced. It is an updated pink-star carabiner in the form of a keychain. This silver keychain has the Ju-Ju-Be logo on front and a special OOAKPL engraving on the back, because all Pink Ladies are truly one of a kind.

It was announced that these keychains would be available for purchase later this year and that the pink-star carabiners would be restocked as well.

Before leaving, Pink Ladies were given swag consisting of a coin purse, Be Charged, a 50% off Loved by Hannah and Eli coupon, a 20% off Little Partners coupon, and a MEO phone sticker in a variety of Ju-Ju-Be prints.

They were also promised they would receive a unique code via email for a Be Quick in Hello Friends on release day!

Also, a HUGE thank you to Jeff Repreza Photography for capturing these images of this amazing day!

We can’t thank the Pink Lady community enough for being such a loyal and passionate fanbase. We will see you all next year to make this an even bigger, and better, event!

Until then, we will see you around in the PLC.
